Taking the statistics of tree loss for a particular year, each ribbon is printed with a text showing the amount of tree loss in hectares for that country. The Great ‘Waste’ Wave 2013

Referencing ‘The great wave’ an iconic image by Japanese artist, Hokusai from the 1800’s, this tsunami of plastic bottle tops cascades from a single point across the path of visitors, halting them in their tracks. Highlighting how our insatiable appetite for plastic is producing the vast amounts of waste now enveloping our oceans. Orleans House Gallery, London, UK 2013  

State of Nature 2013

Painted on plastic milk bottle tops, these miniature dystopian landscapes are devoid of birds and animals, my response to the ‘State of nature’ report on the destruction of habitat.
